Androgogic Extends a Helping Hand to the McGrath Foundation to help boost their Educational, Learning and Training Capabilities

Sydney, Australia 2020: Leading Australian Educational Technology infrastructure and services provider, Androgogic teams up with one of Australia's most recognised and respected charities, the McGrath Foundation to take their Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training capabilities to the next level.

Co-founded by Australia’s cricket great Glenn McGrath in 2005, the McGrath Foundation raises money to place specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses wherever they’re needed around Australia.

The McGrath Breast Care Nurses play a pivotal role in helping individuals and families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.

The partnership and commitment with Androgogic will enable each McGrath Breast Care Nurse to access a customised, best of breed online educational and training platform, providing them with access to valuable resources and robust learning experiences relevant to their work in healthcare.

CEO and Principal Educational Technologist, Alexander Roche said, “As part of our ongoing commitment and support to the Australian healthcare sector, we are honoured to be able to lend our support and expertise in the Learning & Development space to the McGrath Foundation, an organisation who have helped thousands of families in their time of need. We are proud to have our technology and implementation now accessible to the McGrath Breast Care Nurses to enrich them with ongoing courses, training and development opportunities.”

McGrath Foundation CEO, Holly Masters said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Androgogic to provide access to a high quality eLearning platform and expertise for our McGrath Breast Care Nurses. With nurses dispersed across the country, and more than three quarters in regional and rural Australia, it is vital that we provide continuing professional development opportunities for all our nurses, regardless of location to help ensure optimal care for patients.”

Androgogic looks forward to working with the McGrath Foundation over the next three years to continue supporting their exceptional cause.

About the McGrath Foundation
The McGrath Foundation raises funds to support people with breast cancer by providing specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses where they are most needed across Australia.

The Foundation currently funds 135 nurses who provide essential physical and emotional support free of charge to anyone experiencing breast cancer and their families from diagnosis and throughout their treatment.

Breast cancer is estimated to be the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia (1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime) and as the rate of diagnoses increases, so too does the need for more McGrath Breast Care Nurses.

Funding is needed to close the current gap of 120 nurses to ensure every person experiencing breast cancer has access to this invaluable service.
