HR Tech Asia Online 2020 Wrap-up

HR Tech Asia Online was a whirlwind three days of hearing the best in HR tackle some of the most pressing issues faced by modern organisations.

Josephine Teo, the Minister of Manpower in Singapore, gave her keynote address on the opening morning of the conference, highlighting that each of us has a significant part to play in embracing the opportunities and challenges that the COVID19 pandemic presents.

This theme of unity during times of crisis persisted throughout the conference. Graeme Buckley, Director of the International Labour Organisation, noted that teamwork is necessary to keep businesses in business and to protect workers.

On each night of the conference, Georgina Christodoulou, Androgogic’s Senior Product Specialist, presented a new facet of Totara’s Talent Experience Platform (TXP). On Day One, she led a deep dive into Totara Engage, which allows learners to curate and share resources and engage in discussions with their peers. On Day Two, Georgina walked attendees through Totara Perform, a performance management system which aims to increase engagement, enhance workforce productivity, and adapt to an organisation's performance management process. On the final night of the conference, Georgina led a live demonstration of Totara’s TXP and attendees discovered the seamless integration of Totara Learn, Perform, and Engage into one versatile platform.

Alexander Roche, Androgogic's Principal Educational Technologist, also led a session on the changing nature of education technology, taking attendees on a journey through the history of LMS from the early 1990s to today. Alexander spoke about the growth he saw in the industry and the shift into Learning Experience Platforms. He reflected that, "Having been there since the beginning...I'm deeply proud we got there."
